Yaakov Adler, born in 2014 in Brooklyn, is an emerging basketball talent and Orthodox Jewish yeshiva student. At just 10 years old, he joined his first league, quickly earned the role of team captain, and led his team to a championship victory in NYC. Beyond the court, he has grown up actively giving back to his community alongside his mother and older brother.
From a young age, Yaakov, which is the Hebrew name for Jacob, has volunteered at soup kitchens and pop-up food giveaways, demonstrating a strong commitment to helping others. Beyond hands-on service, Yaakov has also been an advocate for important causes, including pushing for quicker access to special services for children with IEPs and championing an equitable free lunch system in New York City that accommodates the dietary needs of Jewish and Muslim students who keep Kosher and Halal. His efforts have been recognized on a large scale, as he was featured in two LinkNYC billboard campaigns, appearing on hundreds of digital billboards across New York City in 2021.
Yaakov began playing basketball during recess at yeshiva, simply enjoying the game with his friends. What started as a fun activity soon became a passion, as his skills quickly improved and his love for the sport deepened. With each game, his confidence and abilities grew, fueling his dedication to continue developing as a player. His authentic enthusiasm for basketball has become an integral part of his daily life, blending teamwork, discipline, and joy into his routine.
Today, Yaakov continues to refine his skills while sharing his knowledge with others. His passion for the game and desire to help young players sparked the idea to expand his personal website to become a place where kids and teens could find top-quality advice and age-appropriate videos without the distractions of spam, gimmicks, or other content meant for adults.
